Jessica Hernandez is a transnational indigenous scholar,

a scientist and a community advocate currently based in the Pacific Northwest.

She has an interdisciplinary academic background ranging from marine sciences to forestry.

Her work is grounded in her indigenous cultures and ways of knowing and she advocates for climate, energy, and environmental justice through her scientific and community work and strongly believes in indigenous sciences

and she is also the founder of Pina Sol,

our SPC in environmental consulting and art artisania. in Environmental Consulting in Artesanius, I don't know if I said that right,

hybrid business that supports black and indigenous led conservation and environmental projects

through community mutual aids and micro grants.

I was raised in South Central Los Angeles, California,

on Tongbach Lands, and I am Maya Chorti our nation is located at the border of

El Salvador Honduras in Guatemala as well as Sappotech which is located in

Waja Mexico and you know during the Central American which is located in Wajaka, Mexico.
