In fact, today was almost the day that Matt had to go to player press conferences wearing sunglasses.

And oh, how I wish that today had been that day, Matt.

Yeah, and the words of someone who won this tournament 14 times,

I did a disaster this morning

and spent half an hour on my hands and knees

looking for my glasses first thing this morning.

Shout out Catherine, who found said glasses. Yeah, it was, look, it's a bad start

of the day. There's no two ways around it. In your laundry? Yeah, I don't know how they ended up there.

Yeah, the morning started with me reading through Matt's dirty laundry from yesterday. But glasses

were found. What a treat. We bounced back. I've gone mad before the tournament's even started. I also had a bad moment later in the day when I got blanked by a fellow Fulham fan.

That was my favourite moment of the day. Matt strolling down the parade outside Philippe Chetre, spotting a man in a F of machetech. Which is rare? Up the whites and getting completely blanked. I don't know what came over me. You took a risk, Matt. You put something on the line. I did. Your dignity. You lost it. But if you're not prepared to risk anything, then maybe you'll never gain anything. I see what you did there. Yeah. It's like doing theda-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-la.

And no one going with you.
