Summary
Catherine, David and Matt capture another day at Roland Garros which saw Stan Wawrinka and Gael Monfils say goodbye, Elina Svitolina and Casper Ruud survive, and more players succumb to hot conditions.
Part one - Day session. We cover Svitolina’s hard fought win over Anna Bondar, overcoming her recent difficulties in that match up. What makes Bondar tricky for her? And how did she come through? Elsewhere, there’s chat about Amanda Anisimova’s winning return, a tough day for Zheng Qinwen, and Rafael Jodar’s emphatic victory.
Part two - Night session (38:31). Gael Monfils ended his Roland Garros career with a 6-0 final set loss to Hugo Gaston. Why was this such a weird match? And how will Monfils be remembered? We also pick the bones out of an even more bizarre five-setter between Casper Ruud and Roman Safiullen.
Part three - Mousquetaire of the day and Day 3 Order of Play (56:21).

| 0:58.0 | suffocating heat unless you're somewhere like we are with a breeze and a good amount of shade. I think at least the |
| 1:04.4 | first hour or so of this night session tonight is going to be hot and sweaty. It continues to be a major feature of this tournament. |
| 1:13.4 | Yeah, well, we were talking about when we might be able to record part one today. |
| 1:17.5 | And Catherine and myself on our way in saw the weather forecast. |
| 1:21.2 | And 7pm, I thought, oh, you know, temperature should be starting to drop by then. |
| 1:25.3 | 30 degrees. |
| 1:26.8 | So, you know, that didn't sound ideal. |
| 1:29.5 | And I mean, look, it is tough for these players in the heat of the day when they're playing any of these matches. |
| 1:38.3 | And there are so few courts without shade. |
| 1:41.5 | And you look into the crowds and you know where the sun is because if the sun's on the seats there's nobody in them. |
| 1:48.4 | And I feel for people with tickets in that respect. |
| 1:51.3 | I mean it's a lovely place to be here. |
| 1:53.2 | The tennis has been great. |
| 1:54.9 | But, you know, this is a little too much for people to really enjoy it. |
