course very very quickly isn't it not a lot of time between the race and the show today

Now we've gone for an hour after the race to accommodate your schedule since it's the French

Grand Prix I've got a cabineer 7-igneur Are you joining me? No, I'm drinking a cocktail of my own making called a fogrony. It's sort of like a nagrony, but not really at all. But I figure that's close enough.

It's pink, so France and why not?

And Provence, it was, you know, south of France.

So they like the pink wine sound there.

Yeah, you know, it'll do.

That drink doesn't look like anything to me. But Matt, what does look like something is that at least the first half of this race gave F1 a shot in the arm some much needed excitement because we weren't that optimistic about Paul Ricard were we?

No, no and had things, had there not been the, I don't know, remarkable carnage at turns one, two, three, and four at the start.

It might not have been nearly as exciting as it wound up being,

because two of the major players got very, very demoted and had to work their way back through the field.

And excitingly enough, a couple of the minor players got very, very promoted and had to be gotten around at the Sharpen.

So it actually, you know, if you think about why they change the regulations and what they're after,

pretty much the way this race started out is what they're hoping will happen every time.

So they need to regulate in breaks that lock up and smash into your opposition.

But Matt, it would be good to get a summary of this race.
