It's a busy summer with a looming indictment for another looming indictment.

I should say for the former president, we're keeping an eye on that, but I want to begin

with a not directly related story, but we're on the edge here of the beginning of the

real hot beginning of the campaign season with the first Republican debate coming up in

a few weeks.

There's lots of speculation about people entering or leaving the Republican fold right

now.

So big news out of the DeSantis campaign this week is he's laying off a bunch of

his workers because they're retooling after a pretty bad start to his election campaign.

And one of the guys that got canned is this younger staffer named Nate Hodgman.

Can you just share with us kind of the story that engulfed this guy recently and then

Yeah, it's a tangled backstory.

So Nate's a kind of a rising star, a young guy in his mid-twenties, I think, a rising

star in the sort of so-called new right.

So he actually interned for the dispatch at one point.

And then he went and I believe interned at National Review before he became full-time
