A shocking turnaround in France's parliamentary election. The far right party, the national rally, has been pushed into third place.

A country that seemed poised to put its faith in the far right, suddenly, dramatically, changing direction.

France's far-left coalition looks set to take a shock victory.

In a shock election result, French rotors had defied all our expectations, and we here

on EU Confidential are going to dive in deep as to what happened and what it all means.

I'm Nick Vinicor. I'm usually based in Brussels looking at EU politics, but right now,

French politics is the top news in the world. First up, we're going to catch you up on the results

with my colleague, Victor Guridafin. Then we're going to check in with reporters at the campaign

headquarters on the far right and on the far left to soak up some of the ambiance

over there. And then for some insight and analysis as to what happened next, I'll be joined by
