| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody Rob Maower here and today we're taking a look at the week ahead as Tesla wraps up their first quarter tomorrow Tuesday |
| 0:13.7 | March 31st always a little bit quieter towards the end of the quarter but a lot to |
| 0:17.2 | look forward to this week Tesla on the day today did underperform the overall |
| 0:21.2 | markets finishing down 2.4% to $52.13 that compared to the NASDAQ up 3.6%. |
| 0:28.8 | The biggest news for this week is likely to be Tesla's Q1 delivery and production report. |
| 0:33.0 | That should come out either Thursday or Friday. |
| 0:35.4 | A few years back, Tesla announced that going forward |
| 0:37.6 | they would be announcing quarterly delivery and production numbers |
| 0:40.2 | within three days of quarter end, |
| 0:42.4 | and every quarter so far with one exception |
| 0:44.4 | that has been on the second or third day. The one exception was for Q1 2016 |
| 0:49.1 | numbers which came out on April 4th due to likely the impact of Easter that weekend. |
| 0:55.3 | As a benchmark, the last two years, Key One numbers have come out on April 3rd, the year before |
| 0:59.7 | that, April 2nd, the year before that was 2016, so that was April 4th, and then the year before that, |
| 1:05.2 | which was the first one ever, that was on April 3rd. |
| 1:08.5 | So we only have one instance on April 2nd for Q1 deliveries, so my expectation would be either before market open on |
| 1:14.9 | Friday morning or after market close on Friday afternoon. Given the |
| 1:19.9 | environment that we're in right now, A Friday afternoon release would not surprise me |
| 1:23.6 | as that will give investors a couple extra days to process those numbers over the |
| 1:27.3 | weekend before reacting. Generally companies wait until Friday afternoon to release |
| 1:32.2 | negative news for that reason. |
| 1:34.3 | So if we don't end up seeing a release by Friday morning, that could spark some of that negative |
