Greetings fellow time travelers, all was great to have you with me. We travel together through time and space. It's the best way.

History is all around us. It's buried beneath our feet. Literally, I can testify to that because when I was a working archaeologist, there it was, there it was,

lift the turf, scratch around a little, and you find the past lives of those who came before.

A person, a hundred years, a thousand, ten thousand years,

you can put yourself in places where they stood,

and that's a spine-tingling concept to contemplate.

It goes without saying we cannot tell what the future holds,

but we can look back to the past

and at least try and learn the lessons that were learned then often by people much wiser than we.

And that wisdom might help us cope with the present. God knows we need help.

And that's what this podcast series is all about and it's a pleasure to have the company while we think about these things.
