A new report from the Defense of Freedom Institute entitled The Radicalism of Graduate Student Unions,

affiliated with the teachers' unions, uncovered evidence that graduate student labor organizations

are increasingly promoting radical political activism and anti-Semitism,

rather than focusing on traditional labor concerns,

such as wages, benefits, and working conditions. The author of the report, DFI senior

fellow J.P. Green, joins me today to discuss graduate labor organizations, the impacts of their

radicalism on-campus culture, and visa policies that contribute to the issues raised in his report.

Many of our listeners will know Jay from his work in the education freedom field.

He founded and led University of Arkansas's Department of Education Reform and previously held

faculty appointments at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston.

Jay has authored or co-authored hundreds of peer-reviewed

articles, policy reports, and opinion pieces on education reform, school choice, higher education

governance, and anti-Semitism in education.
