Summary

I have been lucky enough to go on many different Royal Caribbean cruises on a variety of ships, but one ship I find myself on the most is Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. Maybe it is her size, dazzling array of entertainment, impressive specialty dining options or fabulous ports of call she visits, but I think Freedom of the Seas is without a shadow of a doubt, at the top of the list when it comes to the best Royal Caribbean ships in the fleet. This week, I get to share my thoughts on Freedom of the Seas with my friends who joined me onboard for a Royal Caribbean Blog group cruise. We discuss our favorite aspects of the cruise and what we enjoyed doing onboard and onshore.

And if you've listened to this podcast before, you might know that when we wrap up a Royal Caribbean blog group cruise on Freedom of the Seas. And if you've listened to this podcast before, you might know that when we wrap up a Royal Caribbean blog group cruise, we record an

0:58.8

episode of a podcast live on board the ship. And we did that again on this particular cruise,

1:04.1

except the recording got messed up. So there is no recording. There was a nice live broadcast.

1:09.1

We had a lot of fun talking there. But to make up for it, we're not skipping out on sharing all the fun we had on board

1:16.2

Freedom of the Seas. So I have brought onto the podcast making his podcast debut, Mr. Kenny,

1:24.3

aka Cookin'Yo, Link Winko. Welcome to the podcast, Kenny.

1:30.4

I guess I have to start off with Yo, Yo, Yo. Thank you very much, Matt, for having me.

1:35.4

Absolutely. Pleasure to have you. I've known Ken now for a number of years. We've taken a number of

1:40.2

cruises together, including past Royal Cream blog group crews. You might remember Cook and Yo from past group cruises like Explorer of the Seas and now, of course, Freedom of the Seas as well,

1:50.4

and Mariner of the Seas. You've had a couple under your belt here, so you're not a first-time group

1:56.0

cruiser, but we did have a wonderful time here on Freedom of the Seas, and I wanted to share

2:00.7

with everybody, Ken, what we did on did onboard because it was such a fun sailing.

2:04.7

This was a seven-night Southern Caribbean sailing.

2:07.8

And before we get to the cruise, I think I want to talk about a topic that I know you and I were going back and forth on with a lot of other folks,

2:14.2

which is airfare and getting to San Juan because there are some

2:18.9

challenges with flying to San Juan in terms of not only available options, but also pricing.
