I've seen almost all the conventions since 1972,

but I've never seen anything like this week's DNC, already parsed endlessly

for its breath, its unity, and its joyful noise.

That's what we've seen from Kamala Harris.

The steel of her spine, the steadiness of her upbringing,

the honesty of her example, and yes, the joy of her example and yes the joy of her laughter and her lights.

The one fly in that otherwise healing ointment
