Those are the trials, the testings, and the temptations

in which you have to depend on God

because your own resources are not enough.

You can't make it on your own.

The wilderness is dry, the wilderness is barren, the wilderness

has no life. So if you're going to eat and drink in the wilderness, God has got to rain down

manner from on high and bring water out of rocks.

Because that's what he did in the wilderness.

The purpose of the wilderness is for God to show you he's God.
