Summary

The spirit of mammon has one main goal: to lure us away from trusting God. It tries to wiggle its way into all aspects of our lives, including our finances, and tells us the exact opposite of what God tells us. Mammon says money is the answer to our problems and wants to convince us that it can give us what only God can give us. If we let it, mammon will generate fear in us about our money while putting us in debt; in short, it wants to rule our lives. We can stay free from this spirit by trusting God, acknowledging we need him daily, and being generous givers.

0:20.4	about freedom from mammon, everything that has to do with you staying free from it.
0:25.2	You know, after learning so much of how we've been deceived by this spirit, it's important
0:32.0	for us to gain an understanding of how to remain free from it.
0:37.0	And this is not just a one-time thing you do to remain free from it.
0:41.0	But this is something that you continue to do, you consistently do, and if it
0:45.3	ever rises its head up in you, then at least you know the antidote. You know what you
0:50.8	need to do to stay free from the spirit of mammon.
0:54.0	So we're talking about all things that deal with freedom from the spirit of mammon.
0:59.2	If you have your Bible's, Luke chapter 10, verse 13, let's start there this morning in verse 13 he says no
1:07.8	servant can serve two masters for either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one
1:16.3	and despise the other you cannot serve God and mammon. You cannot serve God and mammon. I'm sorry I might I think I told you I to go to Luke 10 but it's you already
