Welcome to Part 2 of this podcast episode. My guest today is Vishin Laclani, founder and CEO of Mind Valley.

let me explain real quick the Freedom Out Work System that we teach and

that Mind Valley is operationalized has three parts to it. It's about how do you

cultivate a freedom-centered mindset, lead in a freedom-centered way and then design your organization to operate using

freedom rather than fear. With the framework of organizational design, the

optimal framework is organizational democracy like we're talking about and I love what you're

clarifying underneath all this vision is sometimes when you say the word democracy and of course

we're not talking about a political system here we're talking about a way of

organizing that gives real power to the people like you just talked about at

Mind Valley when you say the word democracy people often think you're talking

about voting and I love to point out, well, you know,

they voted in Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

Did that make it democratic?

No, you know, voting is a way of making a decision,

but it's not the system of democracy, You know, just like you pointed out, democracy is about dialogue and listening. It's about transparency. It's about accountability, you know, the OKRs. There's accountability there and it's these 10 principles that we teach I want to take a step back though

Vishin and talk about really it starts with mindset and you know you told your story of meditation and how that

brought you into basically now building the number one transformational education

company in the world within the next 20 to 25 years which I absolutely love.
