Thank you for having me. Many of you already

know Eric because he's been on the program before, but it's been a while. Eric works with me at Texas

Baptist. He is our lead apologist, and one of the brightest guys I know. I don't tell him that too

often because I don't want him to get a big head, but he is one of those smart and intellectual types

and really trained more in philosophy than I don't want him to get a big head, but he is one of those smart and intellectual types.

And really trained more in philosophy than theology, but he and I often talk about this, where I prefer the theology side of things and he prefers the philosophical side of things.

And he has done well to teach me how you really can't do theology without philosophy,

and that's true.

And philosophy without theology is just a bunch of nonsense.

So, you know, you need both, both need each other.

Well, I listened to your debate with Derek Marell just recently.

And your opener, I thought was really well done.

You went through and kind of walked through as a professor, really the doctrine of free will from a philosophical vantage point.

You did obviously refer to and bring in some passages of scripture that support that position.

And so I wanted to unpack that a little bit more because one of the things that I thought that you brought a really kind of laser focused attention on is some of the equivocation that we see in this discussion.

Not everyone is trained in philosophy and they haven't learned the correct terms to use when referencing different things.

And one of the things that I find as a frustration when I'm having these discussions is, for example,
