Back 9, verse 20 through 27.

For context, this moment in the scripture, Jesus is encountering a controversial moment.

There's an argument happening with the scribes and the disciples and the young boy who has

been oppressed by a demon and unclean spirit.

He walks into this moment because there's confusion and Jesus is like what's going

on here.

And someone from the crowd speaks up and he says the summary of what's happening.

There's a boy here with an unclean spirit.

We gave him to the disciples.

The disciples didn't know what to do with him.

So Jesus says that they need to bring the boy to him.

In verse 20 says then they brought him to him.

And when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him and he fell on the ground and

wallowed, foaming at the mouth.

So he asked his father how long has this been happening to him and he said from childhood

and often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him.
