Italy's government may tax cash and other valuables locked away in safety deposit boxes held with banks.

This is always the problem with having a safe deposit box because at some point

or another, the government feels like coming along and take it in your money.

They can come along and take your money.

That's absolutely right.

And I'm sure that with these banks, that you agree to something in the fine print that

you probably glaze over or never read when you get a safety deposit box.

They're not liable because I do know when they seize your bank account that the money you actually put in the bank is no longer yours, it becomes an asset of the bank.

And that is true for every single financial institution in the United States.

Yeah, that sounds accurate.
