Hello, my name is Anne McElhenney. And I'm Phila McAleer. Welcome to the Anne and Philems Scoop. This is a little bit unusual. And no, there's no interference on your TV set. There are no pictures. You are not seeing us because we are not in front of cameras today. In fact, we're in, where are we on? We're in Washington, D.C. The nation's capital, I believe. That's right, under extreme weather conditions here.

Yeah, like three snowflakes fell in Washington, D.C., and everything has to close.

Everything closed. Massive panic attacks. But yes, and actually funny enough talking about the weather.

Why are we in D.C. film? We're here because of the Mark Stein defamation trial, the climate gate trial.

The trial that will determine whether climate alarmism is going to stock the land

or whether free speech is going to stock the land.

So Mark Stein is being sued by Professor Michael Mann of, formerly of Penn State, now of

UPenn, over allegations that he defamed Professor Mann in a blog post way back in 2012, back when

Mitt Romney was a thing. Oh God, was Mitt Romney a thing there? I can now, that's the deep, deep dark, barrows of the past. And there are still people in D.C. earning money because they ran McRomney's digital. Disastrous, disastrous digital campaign. Is that what you're about to say? Yes. Yes. So for the next few weeks, we will be here in Washington, D.C. We will be covering the trial. And what we have

decided to do is instead of having the normal weekly podcast, which you would expect to get to

see our gorgeous faces. You will not see our gorgeous faces, but you will get to hear the latest

news from inside the courtroom in Washington, D.C., where we are attending every day of this trial.

And we're doing reenactments. That's the thing. That's really important. It's like the time we did the Weinstein trial in New York, we are getting the transcript every day and we are getting actors in L.A. to reenact. And we think this is important. This is like the Scopes Monkey trial. This is a trial that's going to, because we're always told the climate is settled. The debate is over.

Yeah, but I don't remember any debate. So I think a courtroom is a great place to have a debate.

Michael Mann produced the hockey stick, which said there was flat temperatures, no medieval

warming period, no mini-ice age, and then just when evil man, evil America, industrialised, the world went to hell in a handbasket. And Mark Stein said, I don't think so. And he also said, Michael Mann's a fraud. We're going to hear all of that. We're going to hear all of that, by the way, in a minute. So actually, so what we're going to do is, so, you know, this is just by way of an introduction.
