I'm joined by a few friends who are going to talk to us about the importance of community

in football and especially in this city Liverpool so I'm

joined first of all by Ian Byrne who's from a fan supporting food bank which is a fantastic

initiative not just in this city but but beyond, by Tony Evans, who's written extensively

about football and communities and the importance of football within society.

I'm very, very excited to be joined for the first time by Trent Alexander Arnold who you all know as a

star for Liverpool and the start of the future but someone who's also in his short space of

time at Liverpool always look to give back into the community and always look to involve

himself in community activities so gentlemen welcome I

I'll start with you Tony in that because I know it's something you've

written about a lot and something you're passionate about a lot is

it's Liverpool Football Club as in a being and it's not just a football club that happens to play in

Liverpool it's a football club that gets its identity that gets that gets it's all image from being in the

city and the people here of you contributed towards that massively.

Yeah of course it's a flag bearer for the community to come from and I think the engagement with the

community over the years has been absolutely brilliant and I think you know it's always

better for me as a scouter when I see people like trends someone who was born here and

who understands what it's all about you know be per on the on the pitch and be part of the team

but also it's a wider thing because what's what's happened over the last few years

as television's become more important and the global
