We began a few weeks back on a series that we're calling free from sin.

Free from sin.

Our main text is in Romans, the sixth chapter, if you would go there, please.

Romans chapter six.

And I have already been greatly blessed by these things and growing in them.

In Romans the sixth chapter and the first verse, he said, what shall we say then?

Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

Now, he's writing to Christians, just like us. Can Christians sin? Oh yeah. Should you sin? Do you have to sin? No. That's what he's saying.

Shall we continue in sin because we have grace does grace mean forget about sin doesn't matter what you do

god forbid right how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein?

Know you not that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

It's very important that we identify with Christ in everything that he did.

Nothing that he did in his trial, his mocking, his scourging, his crucifixion, his death, his burial, his resurrection, his ascension.

He didn't do any of that for himself.

He did it all as a human being for mankind.

And so everything he did, we must identify with that we did it in him.

He did it as us for us.

And so that's why it's saying, as many as have been baptized into Jesus Christ,

were baptized into his death.

You know, Galatius talks about that in 220.

I've been crucified with Christ.

Nevertheless, I live.
