Romans, the sixth chapter.

We've been on a series now.

I think this is our third lesson, so it's a new series for us, called Free from Sin.

Free from Sin.

And this passage of Scripture here, Romans chapter 5, 6, 7, and 8, it has so much about this.

If you're unfamiliar or if you've read it 200 times, still, look at it again in looking at what we're

talking about now notice how many times the word sin is in these chapters and then notice

why has sin been a problem?

Huh?

Sin is what put Jesus on the cross.

Right?

Yeah.

If there had never been sin, there had never been any curse. There would never have been any death.

If there, there had never been any sickness. There had never been any mental problems.

There had never been any crime. There had never been any lack if there had never been sin.

Adam and Eve's sin and the resultant fall and curse and death, and then every human being following them, with the exception of Jesus, following in the same path, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, the

scripture said, is why the earth is in the mess that it's in right now.

That's it.

Not God's will.

The chaos and the havoc and the destruction, the cruelty, the lack, the death, the disease, the distortion, the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and tornadoes, none of that is the will of God.

God didn't create it that way.

He didn't make it for that.
