Our next episode is just a few days away, but in the meantime, we wanted to share a little

bonus.

In our last episode, Soul Food, we told the story of Talia Onsky, who laid out the tale

of her marriage and divorce through a series of dishes.

Now when we decide to pursue a story, we typically identify all the relevant characters,

reach out to them, and go interview them.

Everyone will make it into the final version, of course.

But often, many do.

We're also hyper aware of the fact that different people recall the same events in different

ways, or have different perspectives on what happened.

And we spend a lot of time fact-checking, cross-referencing, and trying to reconcile those

differences, in a way that allows us to tell one coherent story.

Talia Onsky's story was no different.

As we mentioned at the end of the episode, Tal, Talie's ex-husband, didn't want to

be interviewed on the matter.

But other than him, we spoke to a whole bunch of people who played a role in Talie's

tale.

For all kinds of editorial and artistic reasons, we ultimately decided to focus the piece on Talie's

journey, her version of events.

And indeed, she was the only voice you heard.
