But we hand out some superlatives, including under the radar moves, the teams that have helped themselves the most, and it's all about the fits. No, not Connor's jackets. We know his jacket will fit well. That happens every podcast. We'll go position by

Of course, Crosby had surgery to repair a meniscus tear on January 8th. I would be shocked if they didn't know, honestly. There was a part of me like, did he go in and ask for too much right away? And they were just like, whoa, we don't know about that. Call the doctor, call the doctor, tell him to fail the physical. Failed the physical. His knee, Doc, wink, wink, wink, doc, wink, wink. As the Paralympics wind down here at NBC, we'll eventually be able to get our studio back. But this is where I usually do my work with Florio. We're dressed sharp for our Thursday, Thursday pot, and it's an absolute doozy. Free agency superlatives, best fits at every single position. We spend a lot of time preparing to kind of, because it's not just like, here's the 10 superstars. This is how it affects the NFL. And you don't want to give the same answers all the time. It's boring. We talked about some guys. And then you get to certain positions and you go, hey, best

fit at this position. You go, well, damn, there was only eight or nine guys inside. What do you want to do? I don't know who you want me to pick here. I'm going to have to pick somebody that we've talked about a little bit already. But yeah, we've got some good exercises, and I think we'll hit on a few things that we have yet to hit on here in this first week of free agency, and we'll break that down to.

We haven't even talked about Shano getting Mike Evans. So for everybody waiting, everybody's been waiting for that. We're going to get to that today. This is how that went down. Chris and I are walking out on Monday, just BSing. We finally say goodbye. He's halfway in the parking lot. I'm like, the Niners signed Mike Evans. And you were like, holy shit. They actually did. No idea. It was coming. No idea. Really did not. And again, that's just, as I've told you before and all those out there, you know, I don't get into the weeds with my friend there in that type of conversation.

I don't want to know.

I don't want to accidentally tell somebody else and blow up his plans or whatever there.

But yes, I usually have like some inklings over some conversations we have leaning up to

free agency the month prior to go, I feel like he's leaning this way at this position or whatever, no idea here with that one. And then, of course, yeah, Mike Evans being the legend he is and coming from a team that, you know, Tampa Bay I played for, and I certainly respect that's, yeah, it was cool to see that happen there. All right. So free agency, week one superlatives, a lot of free agents still out there on the market for all the guys that have signed.

The signing that made the most sense.

Yeah. And I feel like I brought this guy's name up a few times, and I'm looking at the sheets going, oh, damn, we were bringing up the two guys from the same team here again. and we kind of hit that hit on this team on Wednesday a little bit.

But I say it because, one, I feel like I knew it was going to happen six days before

free agency started.

I heard a few rumors, but then you just line all things up and go, wait, look at the Titans

roster, wait, the new offensive coordinators, Brian Dayball, and they need receivers, and especially slot receivers.

So Wondell Robinson was the one that made the most sense.

He had his best year of his career last year in Brian Dayball's schematical offense.

I know he got fired and Kafka took over.

It was still Davey's offense.

They know how to use that position, feature him, right? Dayball's got some of that in New England. I know how to get Edelman and Welker part of his playbook in available there. So that, to me, was just a no-brainer there. We're going to have a lot of diversity on this show, but I went to Titans as well for this first one. Because on the other side of the ball, John Franklin Myers. We've already seen it.
