Summary

Fred Fleitz, former Chief of Staff to Trump‘s National Security Council discusses the death of Wagner Leader Prigozhin and the growing divide within the Republican Party over the continued support for Ukraine in the on-going conflict. Fleitz says the recent GOP Presidential Debate in Milwaukee last week showed the growing divided amongst the party as to the role the United States should be playing in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, and highlighted that Republicans are moving away from the “peace through strength versus libertarian,” and becoming more “neo-con versus traditional conservatives versus America First conservatives.” Commenting that everyone feels “for the people of Ukraine, want them to win, and want to throw Russia out of the country.” But that he believes, during the debate, that “[Vivek] Ramaswamy was mostly correct, when he said, ‘our priority should be defending our border, and that we have to find a way to end the conflict’. Fleitz comments that President Biden has no plan nor definition of what success would look like for the United States in this conflict. Saying, “Biden’s plan is to keep shoveling money and weapons to Ukraine as long as it takes.”

Hello America and happy Monday. Welcome to the last week of August, the last week before

0:11.5

Labor Day, the official end of summer. And also the official kickoff time for the presidential

0:17.7

race. Obviously, the 2020 of our presidential race is already in full throws. That's why

0:22.2

we had a debate last month. That's a week. That's where I was last week in Milwaukee broadcasting

0:27.0

live from there. A lot to talk about today, including some new developments on the private

0:33.8

Biden emails, the Joe Biden emails that the National Archives may have. I'm going to break

0:38.7

that story here in a second. But before that, I wanted to turn to our guest today because

0:43.7

we have two really good ones. The former chief of staff to the National Security Council,

0:49.5

former long time and well respected CIA analyst Fred flights is in the house a lot to talk

0:54.1

about Russia, Ukraine, the debate last week. You really saw a sort of bipolar Republican

0:59.9

party. The two polls on foreign policy being represented by Nikki Haley on one side in

1:06.2

Vivek, Ramaswamy on the other. Those are pretty significant differences. And Fred wrote

1:11.8

a wonderful column at American greatness this weekend that I think captured it and also

1:17.0

not only captured the divide in the Republican party on display at the debate last week,

1:21.3

but also the failure of Joe Biden to articulate a vision for why we're giving so much money

1:26.8

and military resources to Ukraine. What the definition of victory is and also the failure

1:32.5

to acknowledge that this war has slipped into a long slog that ultimately could benefit

1:37.3

Russia. That is something we never really wanted along prolonged war like Vietnam or

1:43.1

some other war. And so a lot of concern about that. Fred's going to bring us up to speed

1:47.3

in the second half of the show. There was a movie a couple years back called The Trump

1:53.8

I Know that got canceled culture. It was blocked and thwarted and it is going to give a

2:00.2

middle finger to cancel culture by coming back a second time. It is reviving itself.
