I'm sure we will talk more about it, but the biggest thing is Brian Coburger accepted a plea deal, which some of the victim's families are in support of and others are not.

And it's a really sad thing for everyone involved.

Yeah, it was difficult to read the statements from the families.

For those of you don't know, Brian Koeberger is the man who it's now been, has admitted to killing four college students in Idaho back in November of 2022.

And then just this week, on the eve of trial, it was supposed to start early next month.

He accepted a plea deal in exchange for the removal of the death penalty off the table for life in prison.

And it was very heartbreaking.

As a person who's familiar with the justice system, in my head, I was like, that makes total sense.

The prosecution kept the death penalty on the table as long as possible as a bargaining chip and to likely avoid the lengthiness, the cost, the trauma of a trial.
