I'm on the phone with Brian, and on today's episode, you're going to be

reviewing the 2020 horror film Freaky, directed by Christopher Landon and starring Vince Vaughn

and Catherine Newton. In this film, Vince Vaughn plays a serial killer who switches bodies

with the high school girl. For those of you who may be new to our show, Brian and I are going to have a spoiler-free discussion up front.

Brian, was this on your list for this year at all?

Yeah, I really wanted to see this movie.

I don't know what took me so long.

Was it because Vince Fawn's in it, or were you hearing really good reviews?

I heard really good reviews, and I love for the concept.

Oh, okay.

And the concept is basically Freaky Friday just with the serial killer replacing the mother, right?

Correct, yeah.

And I really like horror comedy, so I was excited.

Okay. Yeah, yeah. I was wondering, since this was, the story was so like, you know, tied to this book that was, you know, that Freaky Friday was based on, do you, I was trying to figure out if this type of movie was would like be paying royalties out to

the original book or to the original film that's a good you have any idea that's a good question
