How old were you 20 years ago and where were you, what were you doing?

The lovers you've had, the children, the places you've gone, the jobs you've had.

Okay, now try to imagine that you'd spent those same 20 years in prison for a crime you

didn't commit.

And it's not like you were some hardened criminal who would commit at five other equivalent

crimes and so even if you didn't do this one you know you kind of had it coming.

It's not like that at all, it's like this, you're 16 years old, you're a normal high school

student with girlfriends and homework when a totally random set of circumstances and

extremely negligent police work to say the least, get you a double life sentence for

something you didn't do and you're not supposed to get out ever again.

20 years later after writing hundreds and hundreds of letters you managed to get a retrial

and your original prosecutor is crying on the stand admitting that they knew all along

that there were doubts about your case.
