And we learned towards the end of that recording that Boone's doing a press conference at 1 o'clock Easter. And we should have known then a bombshell would drop because it always does on the days we record.

So now Logan and I are back here.

It's almost 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

And we learned that Frankie Montes is going to miss most of the season because he is having shoulder surgery.

I love how that, like, why do they wait until the first day of spring training to drop that news? Like, why start off on such a bad note, you know? Yeah, it's like, it was kind of pending since the end of last year, you know, it lingered, and then he came back for the playoffs, which probably wasn't the right thing. And then- Definitely not. Like, come on. Like, he had no value no reason to rush no and also like if you're

going to scope his shoulder which is just like because they don't know they still don't know what's

wrong they're going to scope his shoulder why not do it in november yeah i know you put that in

our chat and and listen i have that opinion as well i had that opinion on, was he a DJ, but also, who was it

a couple of years? Paxton, remember Paxton had after the season. So on the one hand, I completely agree

with you. I know that's how Red Sox fans feel with Trevor Story, because they put off the surgery

until late in the in the off

season and now he's going to miss a bunch of time. But at the same time, surgery is always the

last, it's always the last option, right? It's like you never want to just revert straight to

surgery. So they were probably, you know, banking on rehab and rest. And obviously that didn't work.

The crazy thing is, I mean, obviously it's shitty news. Does this change your outlook on the season?

On, on this coming season? No. Yeah. No. No. It doesn't. Like, didn't you already kind of write

off Montes? Because I kind of already wrote him off in my mind.

Like, wow, this guy is a fifth start. It could be good, but maybe not. He might be on the field and stink. We have no idea. Exactly. So, like, while this is bad news, it's definitely bad news. And I think it just looks worse for cashmen in that trade last last last last last
