Hello and welcome to Story Time for Grownups. I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Each episode, I'll read a few chapters from the book, pausing from time

to time to give brief explanations so it's easier to follow along. It's like an audiobook with built-in

notes. So brew a pot of tea, find a cozy

chair, and settle in. It's story time.

Oh my gosh, you guys, do we have a lot to talk about. Wow. Okay, a lot happened in those last chapters. So we have to get to it. But first, welcome. I'm so happy that you're here. Thank you for joining me on Storytime for Grownups. It has finally

become fall where I am. It has been beautiful for a long time, but warm. And now finally there's

that crisp bite in the air that makes it fall. And I just love it. I'm here for it, especially

because this book is definitely descending into darkness,

into spooky season right along with us.

So it's really fun to be reading this book with you guys.

And like I said, I'm really glad you guys are here because I just have so much to say,

and otherwise I would be just talking to myself.

So thank you for being here to listen to what I have to say, but also to this wonderful book, Frankenstein.

So before we get into all of that, just a couple of reminders.

There are two dates coming up that you might want to know about.

One is that this Saturday, this coming Saturday, you will get the
