Yeah, thanks for having me. It's going to be fun. First off, congratulations. We were caught a little bit off guard. Truth be told Friday, last Friday, we had our golf outing. So we're recording a show for that day when the news broke and it's not something that was on our radars how long of a process was this to get this done how long were you and your agent and Kyle Davidson working on this yeah it was kind of something that we talked about towards the end of the year and going into the summer and, you know, kind of picked up more towards like August, like towards a training camp, you know, and took a little bit of time, you know, trying to work some things out and go over some things and make a decision. But at the end of the day, everything worked out and I'm just happy everything was able to get done.

6,59991 AAV. Is that a coincidence or on purpose with the 91 at the end of the number?

No, it's definitely on purpose. I wanted to find a way to

incorporate the 91 in there, as well as like I'm a religious man, and I just didn't feel

super comfortable with having 6.6. And if it was on, if I was on my sixth year and it was, you know,

so I try to stay away from that. But no, I definitely wanted to find a way to incorporate 91 in there. And, you know, and it's something fun. You know, have fun with it. That is, that is fun. Okay. Because we, that was, that was the thing with us when, when we got the news, there was no exact dollar amount. and it was like, oh, it's about 6.6 million, and then we got the exact number.

And I was like, oh, it's it's about 6.6 million and then

we got the exact number and I was like, his numbers in there. Like, yeah, just one of those,

one of those fun things. So wanted to kind of get clarification. So eight years from now,

we expect a $9.1 million deal, right? Hey, whatever. Yeah, I'll take that. Let's do it. If all goes according to plan.

Well, I'm sure you know this, but that's what Sidney Crosby's been doing that forever is he's been making 8.7 million for a long, long time. And you see a guy like that, like make a commitment to the team long term so they can stay competitive. is that something like look like you could you could have waited. Maybe you could have gotten a few more bucks if you put together another huge huge year next year. But it looks like this is like, obviously a great contract for

you more money than you've ever had before in your life. But also like this could prove to be

a bargain deal in three, four years. Was that part of your viewpoint of like, hey, when this, when this is ready to be a bargain deal in three four years was that part of your viewpoint of

like hey when this when this is ready to take off all these great young players i'm playing with

they're going to need to get paid we want to stay good was that on your radar at all when you

sign this deal 100 percent you know it's obviously took a little bit to go through the process

and and what was going on and um you know i i was trying to

figure out like my morals and what i want to do and like kind of the biggest thing is like i want to win i

want to be successful you know i want to look back and you know leave leave nothing back on the table
