Great to be with us as always here on the GM Shuffle.

Hope everyone is staying safe and there is no shortage of football news to discuss.

In fact, we're going to unveil a new idea that Mike came up with, fix my team and how

many moves, an old plan and a little game show.

And so we're going to focus on the Jacksonville Jaguars today specifically.

Well, I got the GM shuffle mail bag and Ben Rothisberger, all that stuff to get into.

But first and foremost, as Mike had predicted, when it come to the salary cap, it was going

to go down.

And now that we know it's going down, what does this mean for all these teams?

So here's the basic news out of the gate.

Lowered salary cap means more veteran cuts across NFL, yesterday marking the opening

of the franchise and transition tag windows, when the final stages as teams prepare for

the new league year and the start of pregnancy on March 17th.

So the tag window runs from February 23rd through March 9th, there's lots of different

aspects to this.

But the bottom line is this, the players likely to be tagged, Mike, let's go in this direction.

Justin Simmons first, safety with the Denver Broncos, tagged last year for 11.44 million.

He'd like to see his salary jump to 13.73.

He's played well under Vic Fangio, your thoughts on Simmons.

I really like Simmons.

You know, when Simmons came out, he was one of the few players that when I scouted him coming

out of Boston College, he actually tackled Lamar Jackson in the open field.
