And France has just had its own parliamentary elections.

In the first round, two Sundays ago, the far-right National Rally Party achieved its greatest

ever result.

And if those results held for a second round, France could have its most right-wing

government since the Second World War.

The second round was last Sunday and it was really tense.

Police on the streets, shop fronts barricaded, everybody waiting and watching for the exit poll result.

And there was a moment of silence.

And then when the projected results came up on screen,

there was visibly jaws dropping. Some people started crying.

Other people started jumping into the air and it was a huge moment of surprise.

It was biggest turnaround in results between first and second round and decades.
