| 1:28.1 | hear any positive or affirming message from a priest, from somebody that represents the Catholic Church. I know that you've had a lot of experience with the LGBTQ community. I know that you've had a lot of conversations, but the bulk of this audience has never heard anything positive coming from the Catholic Church. Well, that's sad. Man, that's really sad to hear, but it's not surprising. But they certainly, you're Catholic, right? I grew up Catholic. I self-identified as Catholic for a very long time, but I just recently made the decision not to self-identify as capital again. Yeah. Okay. Well, I definitely self-identify his capital. And I can say that, you know, I'm here to tell people that God loves you and that as a friend of mine likes to say, your church is learning to love you, which I think is really realistic and also very hopeful. But I'm just really happy to be here and just thanks for all you do to make people understand God's love for them. It's great. I'm very, very thankful that you're making the time, but not just the time to be here, but doing the work within the Catholic Church to bring visibility not just to the community, but I think more so than the community, the trauma that the community experiences. I want to be really careful not to generalize. I definitely want to speak from my own experience. But you know, one of those, one of the things that just shocked me when I first came across your work was this assumption, and you don't have to clear up this assumption, but the assumption from me was |
