This is episode 177 and today we are talking about VMFAT 101. It is an F-A-18 legendary

Hornet Squadron, as they call themselves, out at Miramar, who is sundowning. In fact, by the time

you hear this, they will be no more and so we spend a little time in the upcoming interview with

their current commanding officer and operations officer and we'll get to that in just a little bit

but first I think do I have any announcements? Maybe just some listener questions.

Anyway, hope everyone's doing well. I feel like we just chatted on the last episode and

everything's still going well here. No news for me on the FAA, but still working through that.

But did go to the Miramar air show recently here in September. How to get time out there didn't

really do a good job this time of saying, hey, I'll be by this airplane. If you want to say hello,

mostly I just hung out the shallay and had a few refreshments and watch the show. But Miramar is

always a great one. The Magtaf demo in my opinion is always the highlight, but as are the blue angels,
