Thanks, Jello. Man, you weren't kidding about being cleared solo. This is just like my first

solo in an airplane, actually. I can remember my instructor telling me to pull off to the ramp and

he was going to go check something out, as he said in quotes there. I'll tell you what, as soon

you see out the door, he turned around, told me to take her for your few laps, close the door,

and just started waving as I stared back in disbelief, and here goes nothing.

And unfortunately, as I record this on the 20th of February in 2021, I have to first mention

the tragic news from last night out of Montgomery, Alabama, where a T-38, which was based at

Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi, crashed on final approach during a cross-country training

sortie, and sadly enough, neither the Japanese Air Self Defense Force student nor the U.S. Air Force

instructor pilot survived the misstep. And at this point, we don't really have too many details as

to the cause of the accident, but we do more in their losses and pass-on arc contolences from
