So let's get to some of those news and notes from Thursday.

And this one actually took place Wednesday night right after I finished recording. Matt Chapman. We knew he was scratched from the lineup, and he was scratched because he's taking a physical as Matt Chapman signed a six-year, $151 million extension with the Giants to be with the team through 2030.

Pretty fun stuff there.

Some Houston Astros news, Kyle Tucker, the Astros are hopeful, quote unquote, that Kyle Tucker will be activated on Friday.

I'll believe it when I see it, but it's got to be any day not right, right?

I think so, right, guys?

Renele Blanco, there's been rumors that Blanco would be moved to the bullpen and the Braves did say his Sunday start will be skipped,

which means they're likely going back to a five-man rotation and that there are now Blanco heads to the bullpen for the next few weeks.

Jake Myers of the Houston Astros was activated from the paternity list on Thursday.

Cesar Salazar was sent back to AAA.

Nick Hernandez was recalled from AAA to add bullpen depth for the Astros.

Forrest Whitley returned to AAA.

Luis Eald, the New York Yankees is set to be activated on Friday and make the start

for the Yankees.

First, the Cubs in Wrigley Field.

Scott Efrosse returned to AAA.
