Let's dive into everything baseball related from Saturday, September 21st. We'll start it off as always with

the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the league. Starting with the bad news,

as starting pitcher Max Scherzer was placed on the 15-day IL with a left hamstring strain.

It's a positive sign that the injury isn't

arm-related, giving Scherzer a great shot at beginning the 2025 season healthy. As for 2024,

Scher's campaign will come to a close after just nine starts and the lowest innings total

of his career. Next, we have starting pitcher Son pitcher Sunny Gray who was placed on the 15-day

Ayelet right forearm strain. Gray will be forced to miss his final start after experiencing

soreness in his forearm in his last start when he surrendered four runs to the Pirates

while failing to escape the 6th frame. One thing Gray can hang his hat on is that he struck out

200 batters this

season the first time he's done that since 2019. And lastly, third baseman Raphael Devers was placed

on the 10-day IL with left shoulder inflammation. After hearing news from manager Alex Cora that

Devers would be done for the season after injuring his shoulder on Friday, we received official

confirmation from the club with his placement on Friday, we received official confirmation from
