So let's get recap in the news and notes from Wednesday.

Ronald Lopez of the Atlanta Braves left his recent start with shoulder, like a shoulder

injury, shoulder soreness, lower velocity, things still have concerned, usually with

the pitcher, especially a pitcher

with the innings limits.

He's exceeded this season.

Well, on Wednesday, Lopez was placed on the IO with right shoulder inflammation.

The MRI did not reveal any structural damage, which is a plus for Lopez.

This ends the fantasy season for Lopez, but maybe he returns for the postseason for the Braves.

Dave Bill Hernandez, which we call from AAA for bullpen depth and the Braves will deal with Lopez's

spot in the rotation later in the week.

It could come down to either Grant Holmes coming out of the bullpen, but he's only thrown

like 20 pitches, 20 to 30 pitches in his last two endings outings or the Braves could call

up AJ Smith Schaver who's been pitching really well at AAA of late and had some starts earlier this season.

So time will tell on that one. But for now, Lopez is out for 15 days. So pretty much done for the season.
