Saturday, August 3rd, starting off as always with the transactions, injuries, news and notes

from around the league. We'll start it off with the bad news. As third baseman Luis Renhifo was

placed on the 10-day IL with right wrist inflammation, Renhifo just returned from the same injury,

one that held him out for nearly three

weeks, so we can expect a similar, if not longer, timeline for the recurring injury, as Renhivo's season

has been marred by maladies. In terms of transactions, Isaiah Kinaifale was activated from the

10-day IL. The utility man was acquired from the Blue Jays at the deadline while

still rehabbing from a left knee sprain. Now fully recovered, Kiner Folefa will take over everyday

duties at the Keystone position in Pittsburgh amid the best offensive season of his career.

And outfielder Parker Meadows was activated from the 10-day IL. Meadows hit the IEL in early July with a right hamstring strain,

but aside from injuries, it's been a tough season for him on the field as well.

Meadows will take over the strong side of a platoon in centerfield

as he looks to recapture the success he found in the second half of last season.

And in terms of news, starting pitcher Max Freed is expected to be activated from the 15-day

IEL to start today against the Marlins.
