Let's dive into everything baseball related from Friday,
0:38.2	August 2nd. We'll start it off with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the
0:42.7	league. Starting with the bad news, a starting pitcher Max Scherzer was placed on the 15-day
0:47.0	IL with right shoulder fatigue. Scherzer lasted just eight starts before heading back to the IL,
0:52.5	and it seems like Father Time is winning
0:54.5	its fight with the future Hall of Famer.
0:56.5	It will likely be a minimum stint for Scher barring any setbacks and one of Cody Bradford
1:01.4	or Dane Dunning will shift from the bullpen to the rotation in the meantime.
1:06.5	Next we have outfielder Richie Palacios who is placed on the 10-day IEL by the raise with a right knee sprain.
1:12.3	Palacios will miss four to six weeks with the injury, putting his season on the line, as if
1:17.2	there's any setbacks he might be out for the rest of the year.
1:20.3	Cameron Mizner was selected from the miners in a corresponding move and will share time with
1:24.2	Dylan Carlson in left field.
1:26.4	Mizner is interesting for his power speed potential, having average 17 homers and 27 steals
1:31.7	across the past three years in the minors, but his strikeout rates north of 30% mean he's
1:37.0	going to be a batting average liability in the majors, and that's sort of why he's a 26-year-old
1:42.4	making his major league debut.
1:43.9	He's sort of a quad A-type, and hopefully the raise can help him make the change to become more of a contact-oriented hitter.
1:50.8	And lastly, starting pitcher Drew Thorpe was placed on the 15-day I.L with a right flexor strain.
