Let's dive into everything baseball related from Saturday, August 10th, starting off,

as always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes.

We'll begin with the bad news.

As relief pitcher Hunter Harvey was placed on the 15-day IL by the Royals,

with mid-back tightness, with Harvey on the IL, Lucas Urseg will be the favorite for saves in Kansas

City. In other AL Central News outfielder, Wenziel Perez was placed on the 10-day IL by the

Tigers with a left oblique strain. Perez has been a surprise positive amidst a negative season for

the Tigers. The 24-year-old has nine homers and nine steals and has been batting atop the

lineup against right-handers, but with the injury, one expected to keep Perez out for a significant

amount of time, Akil Badu was recalled from the miners and will platoon in the outfield

with Ryan Vallade. In terms of transactions, third baseman Jose Tanya was recalled from the

minors. Tano made his major league debut last season before being dealt by the Guardians to the Nationals in the Lane Thomas deal at this year's deadline.

In 100 games at AAA this year, the 23-year-old has clubbed 18 homers and stolen 15 bases while batting 287.

first baseman Luis Arias has been playing through a torn thumb ligament since late June,
