from Friday, August 9th. We'll start it off as always with the transactions,

injuries, news, and notes from around the league. Starting with the bad news, infielder Brooks Lee,

was placed on the 10-day IL by the twins with right biceps tendonitis. The twins are now down,

their starting shortstop, Carlos Correa, and his replacement

Brooks Lee. Willie Castro will shift to shortstop as the newly recalled Kyle Farmer and Austin

Martin will handle duties at second. The twins also play starting pitcher Joe Ryan on the 15-day

aisle with a grade two right terrace major strain. Ryan's season is now in jeopardy after this

significant injury as the grade 2 designation means he's due to miss six to eight weeks. Louis

Varlane was recalled to pitch as a spot starter in yesterday's double header, but it's unclear what

the long-term plan is, as this is a huge blow to the twins and their chances of making it deep into

the playoffs.

And our last aisle placement was starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco, who landed on the 15-day

aisle with a left hip strain. Carasco's injury doesn't have a huge impact in regards to fantasy

as his ERA over 5 since 2019 has made him irrelevant. However, the corresponding move is somewhat interesting. Starting

pitcher Alex Cobb was recalled from the minors. The veteran Ritey will replace Carrasco
