Let's dive into everything baseball related from Friday, July 5th.

We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the

league, starting with the bad news. Infielder Luis Renhifo of the Angels was placed on the

10-day aisle with right wrist inflammation, and MRI revealed no structural damage, but

Renhifo will likely be held out through the All-Star break, meaning his return should be scheduled for July 19th.

Second baseman Keston Hiora had his contract selected from the miners in a corresponding

move.

Heura last appeared in the majors in 2022, but has batted 360 with 12 homers in a 198 WRC plus

at AAA in his first year in the Angels organization. This comes a year after he hit

23 long balls while batting 308 with the Brewer's AAA affiliate, and Hira is expected to be

on the short side of a DH platoon with fellow post type prospect Willie Calhoun, though

Hira is two years younger than Calhoun. Renhifo occupied the Keystone position and the Hot Corner

when he was healthy, so Brandon

Drury will see more time at the former while Miguel Sineau fills in at the ladder.

Relief pitcher Dane Dunning of the Rangers was placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder
