Let's dive into everything baseball related from Friday, July 26th, starting off with

the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the league, starting with the bad news.

Our first IL placement is outfielder Riley Green of the Tigers.

He was placed on the 10-day IL with a right hamstring strain.

The strain is considered to be minor, so green shouldn't

miss much longer than the minimum time. Matt Veerling will continue to cover for him in centerfield,

affording Gio Urchella more time at the hot corner. And lastly, second baseman Tyro Estrada was

placed on the 10-day IL with a sprained left wrist. This is Estrada's second IEL stint caused by his wrist in the last month, so he'll

likely be out longer than the 11 days he missed last time. Brett Wisely will fill the strong side

of a second-place platoon in Estrada's absence. And in terms of transactions, we've got a lot of

them. Starting with third baseman Royce Lewis, who was activated from the 10-day IL, Lewis missed more than

three weeks with an adductor strain, the blossoming star hit nine homers in 23 games prior to getting

injured, and he should get back to bashing long balls for Minnesota right away. First baseman Yandi

Diaz was reinstated from the restricted list. Diaz has been out since the All-Star break for an

undisclosed reason

and will look to build his case to be a member of the Tampa Bay Fire Sale this summer. Diaz is in the
