We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the

league, starting with the bad news.

Shortstop Bo Bichet of the Blue Jays was placed on the 10-day IL with a right calf strain,

and MRI revealed the strain to be moderate, so Bichette is expected to miss

multiple weeks. Leo Jimenez will take over everyday duties at shortstop in Toronto until

Bichette returns. Shortstop, Carlos Correa of the twins was placed on the 10-day I-Othright

plantar fasciitis. An injury of this sort can be tough to shake, so Crea could be due for an absence

longer than the minimum 10 days. In the meantime, Edouard Julianne was recalled from the An injury of this sort can be tough to shake, so Crea could be due for an absence longer

In the meantime, Edouard Julianne was recalled from the miners to take over the strong side

of a platoon at the Keystone position, allowing Willie Castro to shift to the six-hole.

The twins also activated outfielder Austin Martin from the 10-day IL.

Martin wasn't out much longer than the minimum time with an oblique

strain, but will return to a diminished role starting against left-handed pitchers in the outfield.

And lastly, we have another twin's injury. A starting pitcher Chris Paddock was placed on the 15-day

IL with a right forearm strain. Forearm injuries are always concerning, so Paddock could be

due for an extended absence. A corresponding move, and the rotation is likely to come later this week, but David Festa and

Louis Varland are the likeliest candidates to fill a hole in the pitching staff.

In terms of transactions, catcher J.T. Ray Almutto of the Phillies was activated from the 10-day

IL. Reilmuto underwent meniscus surgery in mid-June and will return to the field in a little over a month.
