Here to recap Monday's action on the diamond and get you ready for Tuesday.

Only three games on Monday, so not a whole lot going on there,

but a full slate on Tuesday and the rest of the week, which is great to hear.

Let's get to the news and notes from Monday.

James Wood of the Washington Nationals was officially called up to make his major league debut on Monday,

one of the top hitting prospects in baseball,

let alone for the Nats.

Eddie Rosario was DFA'd.

In 52 games at AAA this season, Wood is hitting 353 with 10 home runs and 10 stolen bases.

He walked 17.3% of the time with an 18.2% strikeout rate, which is great.

Played discipline for a young ball player.

He's 21 years old, not to mention.

And he has a 1.058 OPS with a 173 WRC plus

at AAA. What hit 6th on Monday went one for four with a single and a walk. Danny Janssen

of the Toronto Blue Jays was placed on the paternity list on Monday while Brian's servant was recalled.

Kudos to Danny and his wife on the birth of their child. Alejandro Kirk should see most of the playing time while Jansen is out, which may or may not be a

good thing as Kirk is sitting 206 on the season with two home runs. D.L. Hall, the Milwaukee

Brewers is working his way back from a knee injury and only one more rehab start. On Saturday,
