0:42.6	injuries, news and notes from around the league. We'll start it off with the bad news as
0:46.5	starting pitcher Carson Spears of the Reds was placed on the 15-day aisle with a right
0:50.9	shoulder impingement. Spears underwent an MRI yesterday which came back clean
0:55.0	providing hope that he could return in the minimum time before the end of the month.
0:59.0	The Reds won't make a direct move to replace Spears in the rotation with the All-Star
1:02.2	Break coming up, but they should address the hole on the roster when the second half kicks off.
1:06.0	Outfielder Nolan Jones of the Rockies was placed on the 10-day IL with a low-back strain. Jones has struggled to stay on the field all year with back in knee injuries during spring training,
1:14.8	an IEL stint in May with a back injury and an illness in June.
1:18.9	When Jones has been on the field, he's been only a shell of himself posting a 64 WRC plus and negative 0.6F war.
1:26.3	The fact that Jones is dealing with another back issue is
1:28.6	concerning and I wouldn't be surprised if he's out until August. Jones has an immense ceiling,
1:33.6	but he feels like a drop in standard leagues and even 15 team leagues with no IL spots.
1:38.4	Outfielder Heston Kirstad of the Orioles was placed on the seven-day concussion IL. Kirstad was
