Get you ready for a small Thursday slate of baseball. So let's get cracking on the news and

notes here. Jose of Brayu of the Houston Astros will spend a few more days in Florida

before reporting to AAA this Friday. There's a chance of Brady returns to the Astros this

weekend or early next week. It'll be interesting to see who gets sent down as John Singleton is producing and has no more options left.

So it seems like Joey Operfito can be the odd man out this time around.

Advert Aliselaide, the Chicago Cubs, had a second opinion on his forearm strain.

He'll be shut down for two weeks and be re-evaluated once again after that.

Surgery is not off the table, but the Cubs are taking things slowly to avoid surgery.

Brandon Hughes of the Arizona Diamondbacks is promoted on Wednesday to serve as the

Opener Versa Dodgers.

Slade Chaconi was sent to AAA.

Hughes has a 1.83 ERA with 15 strikeouts over 19 and two-thirds

innings in AAA. Zach Netto of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim left Wednesday's game

after making a throw to first base. He was diagnosed with elbow soreness. Netto's concerned

as he's had elbow issues before, but the training staff is not overly concerned at this point in time. Netto was heating up at the plate, so let's hope it's not a major injury. Herein,
