Let's dive into everything baseball related from Tuesday, April 8th.

We'll start things off, as always, with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around

the league. Starting it off with the bad news as outfielder Johnny DeLuca was placed on the 10-day

IL with a right shoulder strain. He'll miss the next two to four weeks for the raise.

Coco Montes was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move, but it'll be Cameron

Mizner, who sees the majority of the playing time in center field.

As he may get platoon, though, as he's a left-handed hitter, so he may see most of his time

against right-handed pitching, but Mizner is a former first- round pickback in 2019, so he's got some potential

there playing for the race, but he'll have limited runtime there for the next few weeks

as DeL is on the IL with a shoulder strain.

Next, we have outfielder Jackson Merrill, who landed on the 10-day IL with a right hamstring

strain.

He should only be on the IL for the minimum time.

It didn't seem like too bad of an injury as he was nursing it for a couple days, but it just

took him a little while to recover. It was taking him longer to recover than usual. So they

decided to just place him on the IL. So I'd expect him back in just 10 days. Oscar Gonzalez was
