0:42.4	We'll start it off, as always, with the transactions, injuries, news and notes from around the league.
0:47.3	Starting off with the bad news, third baseman Max Muncie of the Dodgers was placed on the 10-day
0:52.3	IL with a right oblique strain.
0:54.0	The strain is of the grade one severity, so Muncie won't be out for more than a couple of weeks.
1:00.2	Former top prospect Miguel Vargas, though, was recalled from the miners and is expected to fill in all over the field for the Dodgers.
1:07.2	He could take away time from Gavin Lux at second and from Kiki Hernandez at third,
1:12.2	and Vargas is pretty interesting as he displayed increased power and speed at AAA this year,
1:17.7	producing matching totals of eight homers and steals while walking more than he was striking out.
1:23.2	He deserves to be rostered everywhere as we wait to see how consistent his playing time will be. Vargas could also find his way into playing time in the outfield. James Outman was optioned to the miners. While Jason Hayward was returned from the IL, Hayward has been platooning with Chris Taylor and Wright, but both of those guys have struggled this year despite Hayward's home run in his return, and that could open
1:44.8	the door for some playing time in the outfield for Vargas.
1:47.6	In terms of transactions, designated hitter Jorge Saler of the Giants was activated from the 10-day
1:53.0	IL.
1:53.5	The slugger spent the minimum time on the IL and surprisingly hit leadoff in his return.
